Media Shower

The Media Shower has been developed exclusively for Rainbow Koi after vast amounts of research into the benefits and drawbacks of this type of filter system.

It has been designed by Koi Keepers and Engineers who’s attention to detail and knowledge of filtration systems has led to a filter that returns excellent results, easy maintenance and is aesthetically pleasing.

Using only the highest quality Materials, and highly skilled technicians, Rainbow Koi have managed to produce a filter system of unrivalled quality and performance.

High Quality construction:

316L Stainless Steel is used entirely throughout the construction of the Media Showers offering the highest levels of corrosion resistance.

Benefits of the media shower include:
  • Highly effective aeration of the water – which makes it ideal for use after a fluid bed filter.
  • Offers Rapid Bacterial growth.

In addition, the Rainbow Koi Media shower offers the following advantages –

  • Close fitting ventilated lid to eliminate splashes whilst still allowing air flow to facilitate the growth of bacteria and removal of nitrates.
  • Integral stainless steel spray bar with removable end fixtures for easy cleaning if necessary.
  • High flow rates are easily obtainable (15000 l/hr).
  • Pump fed through either 11/12” or 2” pipe work.
  • Easy maintenance – when used with a mechanical pre-filter, the media shower should not require any maintenance.
  • Capacity easily increased with additional media trays.
  • Accepts various different types of media.

Standard Option:

3-Tray system

£895 inc P&P

HEAT RETENTION COVERS FOR THE MEDIA SHOWERS

In order to overcome the natural ‘chilling’ effect that these filters have on the water during winter months, an insulating cover has been designed which minimises heat loss and allows the filter to be used continually throughout the year. The covers are ventilated and loosely fitted to ensure that there is a supply of oxygen to the filters, thus not impinging on their performance.
